Read to Your Babybump is here again! And we remain recognized in Chase's Calendar of Events Book 2021.
All mother's to be, make preliteracy a priority by simply picking up a good, a happy book and reading to your baby in the womb. Actually you can read magazines, math books, science books, etc. Not only will this reading time develop early reading skills but it's a great way to bond with your baby before they're born.
And if you would, take a photo of yourself reading to your babybump and tag @the_platinum_pen on Instagram with the words "Read to Your Babybump 2021."
HAPPY READING to YOUR BABYBUMP!

There is a huge question in discussion pertaining to reading scores of 3rd graders. The question proposed is Do prisons use third grade reading scores to predict the number of prison beds they'll need?
According to an article on www.readingpartners.org and other sources, it is technically untrue but I challenge you to research for yourself.
Hooray!!! Soo proud to announce that "Read to Your Babybump Month" has been officially accepted into Chase's Calendar of Events 2020 book. Books are now on sale at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, Target and Booksamillion (online and in-store).

Welcome to Read to Your Babybump (formerly Read to Your Unborn Baby)

This is a preliteracy initiative which is part of "My 3 S.E.E.D.S.", (Social Enterprises in Educational Discoveries)
I have designated May to be National Read to Your Babybump Month, encouraging mother's-to-be to read to their babies in the womb before they are born. As a mother, I read to my 2 (now grown) children while they were in the womb which resulted in them reading early before they entered elementary school and their reading levels were above the average for their grades. Now that I am a grandmother, my daughter has read to her twin toddler boys in the womb and they were reading at age 3. I am a living witness that preliteracy begins before birth and it has positive outcomes. Stay tuned for the book release and exciting upcoming events.
